Advanced Waveform Classification in PaleoScan™ 2024

When
4pm - 5pm Central European Summer Time

LocateWaveform classification is an automatic pattern recognition method applied to seismic waveforms to highlight geological features and detect variations in seismic facies. It is used to differentiate lithology, stratigraphy, fluid content, or bed thickness based on seismic data.
This webinar will showcase the advanced capabilities of the waveform classification tool in PaleoScan 2024, highlighting its new features designed to enhance geological analysis. The presentation will cover the tool’s functionality, workflow, and practical applications.
The new features focus on specific waveform components such as amplitude, phase, or frequency, overcoming traditional limitations and offering improved details in seismic characterization. Additionally, the tool allows classification between two horizons, incorporates a smoothing feature to refine results, and enables constraining the classification within a zone of interest using a polygon.
These advancements significantly enhance the isolation and interpretation of geological features, establishing waveform classification as a powerful tool for detailed geological analysis and exploration.
This webinar will be presented in English by R&D Geoscientist Julien Razza.
