We are seeking a Software Development Intern to join our team, working alongside experienced developers to support the evolution and continuous improvement of PaleoScan™

As part of our ongoing efforts to support the energy transition, we are also developing dedicated assessment solutions for the underground storage of CO₂.

About the Role

As a Software Development Intern, you’ll work alongside experienced developers to support the development and continuous improvement of PaleoScan. This role is ideal for students who enjoy coding, problem-solving, and want hands-on experience in a professional software development and research-driven environment.

Location: Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
Contract Type: 6-Month Internship

Your Responsibilities

  • Assist with software testing, debugging, and new feature development.
  • Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
  • Collaborate with geoscientists, researchers, and developers to understand user needs and scientific workflows.
  • Participate in code reviews and team meetings to improve coding practices.
  • Contribute to R&D initiatives by exploring innovative solutions, testing prototypes, and helping to integrate new technologies into the software.
  • Support the documentation of findings and share ideas to enhance product functionality and performance.

What You Bring

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Geosciences or a related field.
  • Solid foundation in programming (Python, C++).
  • Passion for clean code, problem-solving, and innovation.
  • Curious, proactive, and eager to learn in both software engineering and applied R&D contexts.
  • Comfortable working in English (spoken and written).

Nice to Have
  • Experience with data science projects.
