PaleoModel™ is a Joint Industry Project led by Eliis, revolutionising reservoir modelling by integrating seismic, well, and production data to deliver realistic geologic scenarios of depositional environments and reservoir architecture.
OVERVIEW
Eliis is pleased to announce the formation of the PaleoModel™ Joint Industry project.
PaleoModel™ aims to revolutionise reservoir modelling, just as we have done with PaleoScan™, unlocking new insights into reservoir behaviour, and in a fraction of the time of existing methodologies.
PaleoModel™ is an exciting new project for Eliis, developing technology to model depositional environments, combining interpretation from seismic, wells and production data and using physical process modelling to produced geologic realistic representations of reservoirs that fit all the known data.
The PaleoModel™ JIP is a group of E&P operators and academic institutions working with Eliis to help design, build and test this ground-breaking new technology.

The joint industry project is structured around four key deliverables, each aimed at enhancing the accuracy and reliability of reservoir performance predictions:

PaleoModel™ Geology
Rapidly building geological models constrained by well lithofacies and seismic data to explore exploration scenarios ranging from basin to reservoir scale.

PaleoModel™ Reservoir
Constructing reservoir grids, tailored to the geologic model, filled with associated rock properties (e.g. facies, porosity) and transmissibility information.

PaleoModel™ Flow
Using reservoir engineering and production data to further constrain reservoir architecture & flow behaviour.

PaleoModel™ Seismic
Simulating possible seismic responses of the geological models to test and constrain subsurface scenarios.
