Geoscience Research Developer

We are looking for a Geoscience Research Developer to support the research, design, and implementation of innovative modelling algorithms in our flagship seismic interpretation software, PaleoScan™. In this role, you will work at the intersection of geoscience and advanced software development, contributing to forward modelling workflows as well as reservoir modelling and characterization. This position is ideal for a technically driven individual eager to apply geoscience knowledge and software development skills in a growing, research-focused environment.

About the Role

Your Responsibilities

  • Design and implement advanced algorithms and data manipulation in geomodelling
  • Contribute to the development of geological forward modeling processes
  • Work on computational geometry challenges
  • Collaborate closely with geoscientists, R&D engineers, and product teams
  • Translate scientific concepts into robust, production-level code
  • Participate in research initiatives and continuous improvement of modeling methodologies

What You Bring

Technical Skills

  • Experience with modern programming languages (C++, Swift)
  • Strong proficiency in Object Oriented programming
  • Solid understanding of software architecture and performance optimization
  • Experience working with scientific or mathematical algorithms
  • Experience working with seismic, logs and/or production data

Geoscience Background

  • Academic or professional background in Geosciences/Geology/Reservoir modelling
  • Good Understanding of:
    • Computational Geometry
    • Geology (Clastic or Carbonate)
    • Reservoir Characterization
